Prayer is not only a solitary activity we do with God. We do need personal time with Jesus. I do this each morning in quiet prayer and reflection on the Gospels and Holy Scripture. However, we also need to meet and pray with others. We must share our experiences, our pain, our sins and celebrate our forgiveness. We must be a community by praying with others. Even prayer and reflection time with one person is a community. Jesus said where two or more are gathered in my name – I am present.
