Authentic mystical experience connects us and keeps connecting us at ever-newer levels, breadths, and depths, “until God is all in all” (1 Corinthians 15:28). “The world, life and death, the present and the future are all your servants, for you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God” (1 Corinthians 3:22-23). Full salvation is finally universal belonging and universal connecting. Our word for that is “heaven.” – Richard Rohr
We will often face challenges. They are real. We are weak. But, Jesus shows us the way. He went often to be with His Abba, His Father. He drew strength- so He could love completely – even unto death! May we also give of ourselves completely to others. And, in doing so, find the strength of our Triune Lord in all we do.
We all are in need of healing. In our blindness we may not see it. But, it is there. In our humility we must ask for forgiveness so we may be healing – and restored by our Triune Lord. Many Gospel stories tell of hearings. Too often we can be captivated by the physical healings. They point to a deeper healing – a healing of the soul. Jesus numerous times proclaims a forgiveness of sins – and then also heals the physical suffering. But, is the sinfulness the greater healing? I think it just might be.
