All creation cries out the Glory of Our God! Look at the trees, skies, animals, mountains, and oceans and you see God’s Goodness! Reflect on the great depth of human diversity and capacity. Do you now see the hand of God in it all? It is everywhere!! Spend some moments contemplating just how awesome Our God is! It brings us to our knees. It brings great longings for intimacy. This is God’s deepest desire – to be intimate with each and everyone of us!
All begins with God. Our science attempts to explain all that is but will fall short in fully explaining God. We must put our faith in God as our beginning and final destination. No amount of science and investigation will ever alter this path of truth. Seek God daily. Let Jesus show you His Way. Follow His example and Way. In doing so you will be offered the Grace you need for life daily.
Our primary vocation as followers of Jesus Christ is to become saints. To do this we have so many role models in the Saints declared by the Church. We also have Jesus Himself showing us the way. Depend upon God’s Grace and you can become a saint. Live a life of humble service, deep prayer, and kindness toward all. Let your life reflect the Love that Christ has for you daily!
Don’t get discouraged in how slow your spiritual growth occurs. Your growth into spiritual perfection is gradual and is aided by your holy desires and resolutions. Maturity in faith, hope, and love takes time. Stay committed to your faith and let God take control of your growth. Let God’s Will be your will! Daily stay faithful in prayer and good deeds. Your spiritual development is often growing in secret known only to Our Lord.
Do you rely entirely on our Triune God? This does not mean we don’t do what we prayerfully know we must do. We must. But, do we place all aspects of life in God’s Hands? Do we follow Jesus in The Way He taught us? We can do great things in Jesus – if we rely on Him completely. Abandon all hope of going through your challenges with only your own talents and strength. Use your talents and strengths for God’s Greater Grace to love and serve others while listening for His Will daily!
God forgives all sins. No sin is too great to be forgiven by Our Lord. Do not fail to return to Jesus no matter how you have fallen away. Jesus wants to be your Savior this very day. Judas was not excluded from Jesus even as he proceeded to betray Our Lord. Jesus shared His final meal and even allowed Judas to kiss Him during the betrayal. God always wants us back. Never forget the endless love of Jesus!!
As you grow spiritually, become neither discouraged nor presumptuous. The race is only over at our death and birth into eternal life. Our choices determine if the life after is Heaven or Hell. In fact, if we are so determined to go to Heaven we may need to spend time in Purgatory where our souls as cleansed of sins and prepared for our Heavenly Life. Do not get discouraged! Strive daily to be in the Presence of God! Repent and start again – and again – and again. And do not presume your work is ever done in seeking to live life with the Truth of God. There is always more work to be done! Seek Grace and labor again today!
God has a purpose for you and me. All people are called to live their purpose even if we can’t always readily identify it. Our lives have God-given meaning. Finding our calling is important to us. However, living good lives even in uncertainty is holy. We are called to be God’s loving children. Jesus calls us to this mission no matter where life takes us. Trust that God knows your future – and it is with Him now and in Heaven!
It is so easy to worry about the future. What is my plan? We should rest in knowing God has His Plan for each if us. Our Triune God knows what is best for us and how we are to truly receive happiness. We must surrender to this Truth and be guided by God’s Plan for us all! Let us pray for courage to discern and follow God’s Loving Plan which is both a mystery and a certainty. God loves us this much!
We often pray for our immediate needs. God listens and responds to these prayers in His time which is always what is best for us. However, do we pray for perseverance in faith for a lifetime? Do we pray for our salvation and salvation for others? Let us make a life of prayer our devotion and never let it leave us. Pray always through deeds, thoughts, and words!
