I have been consistently surprised by the goodness of God. Jesus reaches out to all – sinners and saints! He wants them, out of love, to join the feast! He wants me to bring them to Him – through my actions and my words. I pray I may be up to the challenge of it all! Amen!
Life challenges are opportunities to find Jesus at a deeper level. When I am in need of assistance and cannot do it on my own, I find the strength and love of Jesus. Life will give us plenty of challenges. Taking our pain and suffering to Jesus in prayer helps us persevere and growth in courage, faith and hope.
We can easily put created things above the Creator. We can let daily concerns overwhelm us. We can become captivated by things. They do come from the Awesome Creator but they are not above the Creator. Give Jesus your whole heart and enjoy what our Father has gifted us through His Creation.
Worry can significantly impact our quiet and prayer time with Jesus. We need to let these worries and distractions float away as we focus on Jesus. Being with Jesus and listening to His life-giving words through Scripture can allow us to put our minds at peace. Jesus came to bring love, joy and peace. Distractions and needless worry during our prayer get in the way of our joy with Jesus!
My childhood was where I was grounded in Jesus Christ. Family and friends lived a life of faith in our local Catholic parish. I attended Catholic School, received the Sacraments, and grew in faith. Our faith journey is good to remember and cherish. It is the foundation of our adult faith. I lean on my childhood faith so I can continue to grow in Jesus Christ.
Prayer is not only a solitary activity we do with God. We do need personal time with Jesus. I do this each morning in quiet prayer and reflection on the Gospels and Holy Scripture. However, we also need to meet and pray with others. We must share our experiences, our pain, our sins and celebrate our forgiveness. We must be a community by praying with others. Even prayer and reflection time with one person is a community. Jesus said where two or more are gathered in my name – I am present.
I need to examine my life to find the ways I am not living as Jesus Christ calls me to live. My life is still a work in progress. I pray for the gifts of knowledge and wisdom. I pray to be washed clean of my sins. I pray to walk humbly with Jesus each day.
God’s Grace is amazing!! I cannot even imagine how my life would be without God’s everlasting compassion and presence. When I try to do it on my own, I am left empty and unsure. When I turn to Jesus in prayer, I find comfort and hope. Jesus and His Graces are my entire life now. I am lost when I stray. He always finds me and welcomes me back. I am so thankful and in awe at how He has changed my entire life into something of beauty.
So many individuals have helped me along my journey to my life with Jesus. It started with the love and examples of my parents. My family was also so important to my growth. Spirtual directors and mentors helped me learn and encouraged me go deep into my relationship with Jesus. All along the way, God has brought incredible people into my life! I am so grateful for the blessings!
So much is possible with the love of Jesus! I have witnessed His incredible Grace and Love for my entire life. I am doing things I did not think possible daily. It amazes me always. I am so grateful for all His Blessings and Graces.
